At PHRS, we’re honored to share inspiring journeys like Rocio’s (@byrorro), a remarkable story of personal and professional growth in the Middle East.
Hello PHRS, my name is Rocio, I’m 27 years old, and I’m from Mar del Plata, Argentina.
I arrived in Bahrain in October 2021 to work as a food runner at CLAY, a fine dining restaurant specializing in NIKKEI cuisine (Peruvian-Japanese fusion). Just three weeks later, I was promoted to waitress—the fastest promotion in the company’s history.
During Bahrain’s Formula One week, I had the privilege of serving Toto Wolf and his wife Susie, and I also met drivers Lando Norris and Carlos Sainz. These are unforgettable memories! I even attended the Bahrain Grand Prix, which was an incredible experience.
Six months later, I visited Turkey with my savings, bringing my mom from Argentina to explore Istanbul and Cappadocia with me. After a year at CLAY, I advanced my career as a head waitress at another company, where I met my fiancé, Nassim, from Algeria.
Don’t hesitate to embrace an amazing experience in the Middle East! No matter which country you go to, the people are warm and always willing to help. It’s a true cultural exchange—you work with colleagues from many different countries, sharing ideas and customs that expand your perspective.
Deciding to leave Argentina allowed me to grow personally and professionally. In the Middle East, hard work and passion are highly valued and recognized, giving you opportunities to thrive.
Thank you, Rocio, for trusting us and for sharing your incredible journey! Living and thriving in the Middle East with PHRS opens doors to a world of possibilities.
💫 We connect great candidates with great companies.
