😊 “My name is Ayelén, I’m 27 years old, and I’ve been living in Doha for a year. I want to share my story as a way of thanking PHRS for giving us these opportunities that open so many doors both professionally and personally.

I traveled in March 2023 with lots of questions, as Qatar is a country with a very different culture. But let me tell you, I never felt excluded. Life here feels normal as long as you respect the culture. Plus, I never felt alone—the Latin community is huge, and we all help each other out.

I started working as a senior server and, by February this year, I had already been promoted to head waitress. I’m incredibly happy with the opportunities I’ve received.

At first, I thought I would only stay for a year and then leave the Middle East. But the truth is, after coming back home to Argentina for a vacation, I’ve decided to return to Doha.
